Norfolk Walking Festival – Saturday 17th October to Sunday 1st November

Norfolk Walking Festival banner

We’re really excited that the Norfolk Walking Festival is nearly here! Across two weeks, there are 45 walks and talks to choose from, so there’s bound to be something for you.

What’s happening?

We’re celebrating north-east Norfolk, the area that our first stretch of England Coast Path passes through (which opened in December 2014).

The walks range from 1 to 13 miles, so you can pick an easy stroll or something more challenging. With our themed walks, you can find out about foraging for beer flavourings, autumn wildflowers, bird migration along the coast and lots more.

The talks include illustrated evenings with national experts (like TV’s Mark Thompson The People’s Astronomer and Dr Nick Ashton from the British Museum) and local experts in their field on themes such as the natural history of Horsey, ghostly legends of the amber shorelands and inspiring films of walking adventures.

Families can also take their pick from self-led trails and interactive theatrical fun.
