84 Year Old Grandma to walk 8k to raise money for the Eye Clinic at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

Lucienne Ullmer, an 84 year old grandma, is going to complete an 8km walk at Brancaster, Norfolk to raise money for the Eye Clinic that has helped her so much. She is an active person who loves the company of family and friends and her hobbies include gardening, family history, Pilates and dancing.

Seven years ago she was diagnosed with macular degeneration meaning that, without treatment, she would lose her sight and ultimately her independence! This was a devastating blow…

However, the excellent treatment she received, in the form of injections at the Eye Clinic, made it possible for her to retain her sight; so she really want to give something back to the hospital that has made this possible.

She will be joined by some family members and friends and will be walking a coastal route at Brancaster, Norfolk.

The link, below, shows you a map of the route; the one she is doing is on the left of the page. http://www.norfolk.gov.uk/view/NCC129335%5Dhttp://www.norfolk.gov.uk/view/NCC129335

She is really looking forward to this walk and has been practising at weekends, with her daughter.

She would be very grateful if you could support her by donating on this page mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/lucienneullmer1
