Explore Norfolk Trails

A four-part adventure starring Tim Whitemore and the Norfolk Coast Path.

“…and now for something completely different….”

We love to hear about fellow walkers’ experiences along our Trails network and what a treat to come across Tim Whitemore’s brilliant blog of his walking adventures.

In the most recent of Tim’s ventures he tackles the well-loved Norfolk Coast Path. Starting in Hunstanton he began his 44 mile hike to Cromer. Read his four-part journey for the dos and donts, for stunning photos, for seals, for birds, boats and beaches!

Day One – Hunstanton to Burnham Deepdale

“it’s just me, the rain and the sound of the surf carried on the wind”

Day Two – Bus, Car, Boat

“Landside the harbour is utterly silent under tar black skies, so much so that a distant barn owl echoes down the Staithe Street”

Day Three – Wells to Cley

“Sometimes you just know it’s going to be a good day”

Day Four – Cley to Cromer

“In a nutshell – A day absorbing the essence of this stretch of coastline”

There is some good suggestions when planning a long distance walk. If you feel inspired you can start planning your route on our interactive map where there is plenty of choice of long distance trails or short and circular walks.

We would love to hear about the experience of other trail users too; be it a afternoon stroll or bike ride, walking the dog or your own 44 mile trek across Norfolk. Write a blog post for Explore Norfolk Trails and spread the word on what Norfolk Trails has to offer.

It’s super easy – you don’t even need your own blog, you can write a post using our template and we’ll pop it on here.

Find out how to submit a blog post here.

Looking forward to reading more walking or cycling adventures….
