A few weeks or so ago, before we had our self/work-imposed mini hiatus, we tried out a new trail, the Paston Way. We weren’t incredibly impressed by it at the time, mostly because we got lost a lot. We wrote about this and then were told that the wonderful people at Norfolk Trails are re-laying and re-signing the path, which helps explain our confusion and what we were convinced at the time was our frightening inability to read a map. With our faith in our abilities and in the path restored, we decided to give it another go. This time, though, and with help from Norfolk Trails’ online maps, we took special care to mark up our route on our OS map and to not follow the original route as plotted or as signed.
