Walk between Sheringham and Weybourne

North NorfolkOn a beautiful September day I ventured out onto the Norfolk Coast Path between Sheringham and Weybourne, part of the Cromer and Sheringham Health Walks (walk 6).

Leaving the car at home I bought a Bittern Ranger ticket from Norwich station, which turned out to be great value for unlimited travel on the Bittern line and Coasthopper for the day. I’d highly recommend it to any one using public transport!

The walk follows the coastline, with beautiful views over Skelding Hill (as pictured above). There’s a nice spot to stop for lunch at the top by the Coastguard Lookout, and if you’re lucky the bench will be free.  Looking further inland Sheringham Park can be seen in the distance.

I was very lucky to be walking along the path at the same time a Poppy Line train was heading out from Sheringham and got this shot.

At Weybourne it was time to rest my feet and admire the beautiful view that stretched along the coast!

The way toward the Coasthopper was clearly signed and as if the bus knew I wanted it, it appeared from around the corner!

It was a lovely walk, and I’m looking forward to walking more of the Coast Path in the future.
